Peña Family Care Services LLC and GPNotary.com reserve the right to refuse, discontinue, postpone, or cancel services where permitted by law or professional discretion.

📄 Notarial Service Refusal Situations
Notarial acts may be refused for reasons including, but not limited to:
- improper or insufficient identification,
- incomplete documents,
- blank critical document sections,
- suspected fraud,
- unwilling signers,
- suspected coercion,
- intoxication,
- incapacity,
- inability to communicate effectively,
- suspicious circumstances,
- unsafe environments,
- or unlawful requests.
Notaries are legally required to exercise independent judgment during notarial acts.
👤 Signer Awareness & Willingness
All signers must appear:
- aware,
- willing,
- and capable of understanding the transaction.
We may refuse notarization if a signer appears:
- confused,
- impaired,
- pressured,
- intimidated,
- or otherwise unable to participate knowingly and voluntarily.
🚫 Unsafe or Inappropriate Conditions
Services may be refused or discontinued in situations involving:
- threats,
- harassment,
- abusive behavior,
- unsafe locations,
- illegal activity,
- or conditions that create safety concerns.
We reserve the right to immediately leave any appointment or discontinue communication where safety concerns arise.
💍 Wedding Ceremony Refusal Situations
Wedding officiant services may be refused where:
- a valid marriage license is not presented,
- required information is incomplete,
- scheduling requirements cannot be reasonably met,
- unsafe conditions exist,
- or legal marriage requirements are not satisfied.
We reserve the right to decline ceremonies that conflict with applicable law or operational limitations.
🔐 Digital Certification Refusal Situations
Optional Digital Proof Certification services may be refused where:
- document types are inappropriate,
- legal concerns exist,
- operational limitations apply,
- or the requested use appears misleading, unlawful, or deceptive.
Digital certification services are supplemental and subject to professional discretion.
📅 Scheduling & Operational Limitations
Appointment requests may also be declined due to:
- scheduling conflicts,
- excessive travel requirements,
- incomplete information,
- repeated cancellations,
- repeated no-shows,
- or operational capacity limitations.
Submitting a request does not guarantee acceptance or availability.
